ASP Application Software Development:  

Create Requirements and Programming specifications to deploy a sophisticated business partner internet portal for an international organization. Act as project lead through the development and implementation cycles.   

System Crash Recovery, Database Cleaning, Data Conversion, Network Management: 

Point of Sale and Financial data bases were recovered for a retail and distribution operation.  The Novell Netware system was recovered and replaced then all software was migrated to Windows 2000 Server. 

Performed Virus and trojan horse removal on many PC systems.  Restored accounting and payroll data.

Worked with the software vendors to clean up program problems and training issues.   Implemented Remote Access giving the principals access to financial and inventory data.

Installed Windows 2000 servers and networks in other distribution companies. 

New Operations: 

Installed Windows 2000 Servers and LANs at two wholesale distribution companies.

Opened three Fitness Club Spa operations complete with internal LAN networks, point of sales software and ICVerify credit card software.  Provide ongoing support and assistance with point of sales operations, credit card reporting procedures and training issues.   This organization has 7 clubs and two separate Point of Sales packages.

Network Upgrades: 

Installed fax server software to solve a growing medical office's FAX requirements.  Reduced FAX line costs while improving FAX capabilities to each member of the staff.

Recently Upgraded or installed new Windows 2000 servers and workstations in accounting and distribution firms.  Completed data migrations and accounting software upgrades including Point of Sale software upgrades.

Installed routers and firewalls for application, remote management and internet sharing. 

Financial Systems and Home Offices:

Maintain Home Offices for accounting and law.  Installed and maintain Dell and Hewlett Packard PCs over the LAN to share files, printers and DSL internet connections through firewalls and routers.  These are multi-PC systems running mission critical software such as ADP Payroll, Dentrix, Quick Books and others for company finances and payroll. 

ASP Application Software Development for Human Resources:

Created requirements and developed  a web browser based application for a 360 degree Human Resource Survey.  Using MS SQL 7 and ColdFusion 4.5, this interactive web program selectively displays the survey and collects responses to multiple clients and HR surveys simultaneously. Business rules were implemented to secure the users ID, prevent repeat testing, validate data and insure various other critical survey requirements.

Implemented the remote management features in SQL 7 and remote data export features to enhance overall operation.   

ASP Application Software Development for Managed Care:

Created this intranet system to administer and track client activity from intake to discharge.   This system fulfilled a variety of management requirements and as a centralized repository for client data.  This web browser enabled system provided secure access to case workers throughout Southern California.  The system modules allow for client administration, intake, transfers,  recruiting, client qualifications, case worker information, detail and summary reporting,  billing output and data base setup.  Extra effort was added to validate data and for login  security.  

The web browser based application was designed from requirements to intake, place, track, transfer and manage foster children; qualify prospective foster families; maintain family qualifications and home information; create alert flags for attention, create DCFS billing data and create foster family payment data all based on the child's status, age range, and family activity status. Home placement required matching child requirements to home characteristics and vacancies. Elaborate search techniques were designed to locate client records based on any criteria.

Developed with MS SQL-7, ColdFusion and Crystal Reports.  Operation is over T-1 and frame relay to the local campus and branch offices in 8 buildings.  

Network Upgrades and Management:

Designed, installed and maintained a large network upgrade consolidating information requirements from eight corporate locations and 140 PCs to a centralized server farm and application data bases. Beginning as a Novell Netware 3.12 upgrade to versions 4.11 and 5.0 as they became available, the systems were migrated to Windows NT and 2000 when Microsoft web technologies, ASP, ColdFusion 4.0, SQL-7 and Exchange 5.5 became necessary for advanced application development using web technologies over an intranet.

Client Management Software Development: 

Developed a school administration and student attendance system for a private school. This is a Visual FoxPro client server application designed to administer and track detailed student information, daily attendance, monthly attendance, history, classroom information and grades. Visual FoxPro 6 and Crystal Reports 8 used throughout. Over 100,000 master file records were scrubbed for integrity and converted to DBF format.  

Detail and summary reports were created using Crystal Reports.    

Network Upgrades:

Upgraded from Novell to Windows 2000 Server with current hardware 

Developed a corporate web site to advertise services and location.  

Data Conversion and Software Development:

Created updates to an engineering firms project management system. Completed data conversion routines to process text based chemical laboratory results into a useable matrix of select chemicals and measurements. Using Visual FoxPro 6, a DBF data format was created with processes to output Excel files and reports in a format familiar to the engineering group.

Network Upgrades:

Resolved and Documented network pitfalls and resolutions. Enhanced internet connectivity with the latest firewall / router hardware. Analyzed various methods to integrate data from each network server onto a single Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft Exchange 2000.

General Systems Consulting:

Provide technical consulting and support to a south land organization supplementing their small I.T. staff and multiple servers and clients across 19 branch offices.
