Zion National Park is about 1-1/2 hours past St. George by VW. If you stay in Cedar City Utah overnight then you will be in Capitol Reef the following afternoon. The barrel cactus and ocotillo photos were taken during the spring at Joshua Tree National Monument east of Palm Springs California. |

If you
like variety, Utah is a pretty place to visit with coral sand dunes,
mountains, deserts and interesting geological formations. if you
drive from Los Angeles, stop in Las Vegas Nevada and St. George Utah
to gas up and stretch.
